Welcome to Adam Whitlatch Therapy!

Most of us struggle at some point in our lives. Sometimes it’s hard to admit, especially when everyone else seems to be “okay.” But we’ve all had times when we wanted to make a change in our lives: in our relationships, our motivations, our behaviors, our attachment styles. Often, we get caught in a pattern, promising ourselves again and again that we will change, only to find ourselves in the same behaviors and situations.

When you work with a therapist, you’ll gain the skills and insight to break the patterns, achieve meaningful and lasting, and gain deeper understanding of your feelings and motivations.

 

Congratulations on making the decision to seek therapy! It can be difficult to reach out for help in a society that tells you to be strong, independent, and self-sufficient. But we, as humans, are social creatures, and it shows wisdom and courage to be able to recognize that sometimes you need other people, just as other people need you!


 About Me

My name is Adam Whitlatch. I’m a clinical psychotherapist working in Los Angeles. If you work with me, you’ll find that I focus on building a therapeutic relationship first and foremost. I believe that in therapy, in order to see the change that you seek, you need a base of trust and understanding. I work psychodynamically, meaning I believe in a holistic approach and working through past experiences and feelings in order to understand and change current behaviors. However, I also will bring in other approaches as is necessary.
