People come to therapy looking for change. When the same problems keep showing up, there’s always a reason. Real change happens when you understand what’s happening beneath the surface of those problems. Together we can explore these depths, understand what creates the struggle, and make meaningful, lasting change.
Who I Work With
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable adults who still find themselves pulled into the same patterns, reactions, or internal battles. You might overthink, shut down, avoid conflict, or repeat dynamics in relationships that you don’t actually want. You may feel too much or nothing at all. Or you might sense that something deeper is happening beneath the surface, even if you can’t fully name it yet.
If you’re tired of circling the same problems and want to understand what’s actually creating them, this is the work we can do together.
How I Work
I take a depth‑oriented, experiential approach that focuses on what’s happening inside you in the moment. Instead of staying on the surface or only talking about problems, we slow down and pay attention to the emotions, tensions, and internal reactions that show up as you describe your experiences. These patterns often hold the key to understanding what creates the struggles you’re facing.
My role is active and collaborative. I help you notice the ways you protect yourself, the feelings that are hard to access, and the internal conflicts that keep old patterns in place. As we explore these moments together, you build the capacity to face what’s been overwhelming or avoided, which opens the door to real and lasting change.
What Patients Often Struggle With
Many of the people I work with feel caught in patterns they can’t seem to shift, even when they understand them on the surface. You might find yourself:
getting pulled into the same reactions or conflicts even when you want something different
feeling overwhelmed by emotion or disconnected from it
struggling with intimacy, closeness, or vulnerability in relationships
repeating dynamics that leave you frustrated, lonely, or misunderstood
carrying grief that feels heavy, complicated, or hard to talk about
wrestling with questions about identity, direction, or who you’re supposed to be
overthinking, shutting down, or avoiding conflict to keep the peace
feeling pressure to hold everything together while struggling internally
sensing that something deeper is going on beneath the surface
If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone. These patterns have roots, and they can be understood and worked through.
What Therapy With Me Is Like
Therapy with me is focused, collaborative, and paced with care. We pay attention to your internal processes, not just the story you’re telling. As we talk through your experiences, we notice the emotions, anxieties, and internal reactions that arise, because these moments often reveal what’s been driving your struggles.
I’m an active therapist. I’ll gently challenge you when something important shows up, and I’ll help you stay with feelings that might normally feel overwhelming or easy to avoid. I’m always tracking how you’re doing in the moment, and we move at a pace that supports your ability to stay present. When something feels intense or overwhelming, we slow down and work through it together.
The work can be challenging at times, but it’s also clarifying and deeply meaningful. Over time, you build the ability to face what’s been avoided, understand what’s been driving your patterns, and create real change.
